Champions League: Solskjaer names two Man Utd players he trusts

Manchester United boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has identified the two players he trusts in his squad at Old Trafford.

Solskjaer said he trusts Fred and Scott McTominay because his team have had many good results with their pairing in the Red Devils’ midfield.

The Norwegian said this on Tuesday, during his pre-match press conference ahead of Man United’s UEFA Champions League clash with Villarreal on Wednesday night.

Asked why the pair are his favoured options in the club’s midfield, Solskjaer told reporters, “First of all, the stats for them [Fred and Scott McTominay] two together, we have had many, many good results.

“The energy they give us, the way we broke up play against Villa. I think they’re very, very instrumental together in that respect. Energy and desire.

“I really like to have the two of them. There’s two I can trust that will always, always give you what they have got.

“Fans will always have an opinion on any team selection when you’ve got good players like me. It’s easy to say who should be playing, but it’s harder to leave players out.”
