EPL: Rangnick wants Chelsea’s top striker at Manchester United

Manchester United interim boss Ralf Rangnick wants to bring Chelsea striker, Timo Werner to Manchester United.

The newly appointed interim boss is ‘keen on discussing the signing of Werner with the Man United board.

The appointment of the German was confirmed on Monday and he will be at the club for the remainder of the season.

The 63-year-old German coach managed Werner during his time at German side RB Leipzig and the Chelsea forward understands Rangnick’s high-press philosophy.

The Germany international has struggled at Stamford Bridge since joining for a fee of £54m in 2020, scoring just seven Premier League goals in 43 appearances.

Rangnick, therefore, wants to seek a move for the striker and will discuss it with his board, according to Sport Bild

However, any move for the striker will have to wait until next summer.
