AFCON 2021: Babangida names two Super Eagles players that will hurt Egypt

Former Ajax Amsterdam star, Tijani Babangida has named Samuel Chukwueze and Sadiq Umar as two Super Eagles players Egypt must be wary of when the two countries meet today in the Africa Cup of Nations.

According to Tijani, Chukwueze and Umar can cause damage to the Pharaohs in their opening group game on Tuesday.

Chukwueze has recovered from an injury that kept him out of action for his Villarreal side for months and looks set to take Africa by storm in the ongoing competition.

Sadiq on the other hand is making his first appearance for the senior national team and would hope to be named in Austin Eguavoen’s XI against Egypt.

The Olympics bronze medalist has scored 31 goals in 64 appearances since joining Almeria in October 2020.

“Nigeria has individual players and also has new faces that can surprise the world if given the opportunity, such as striker Sadiq Umar and Samuel Chukwueze, a player who is good to watch,” Tijani Babangida told Filgoal.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria take on the Pharaohs of Egypt at 5 pm, local time on Tuesday
