Nigeria vs Egypt: Sudan manager predicts winner of AFCON clash

Sudan’s national team general manager, Mohsen Sayed has backed Egypt to beat Nigeria when both teams clash in today’s 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON tie.

Sayed said the Egyptian national team is better than the Super Eagles on paper, adding that they have the best player in the world, Mohamed Salah.

Recall that Sudan was handed a very tough draw after being placed in Group D alongside Nigeria, Egypt and Guinea-Bissau.

The Falcons of Jediane will begin their 2021 AFCON campaign today against Guinea-Bissau before facing Nigeria and finally Egypt in the final group stage match.

“Egypt has the best player in the world,” Sayed told Mega FM, alluding to Mohamed Salah.

“On paper, the Egyptian national team is better than Nigeria and is the closest to winning, but football is full of surprises.

“I definitely hope that Egypt win.”

He added, “We know the Guinea-Bissau national team very well. We met twice in the [World Cup] qualifiers a month ago.

“The draw served us well, as our match against Egypt will be the last one in the group stage.”
