Osinbajo, Lawan, others attend Folarin wife’s burial in Ibadan [PHOTOS]


Nigerian Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo; and Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, were among the prominent Nigerians who attended the funeral of Mrs Angela Folarin in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital on Tuesday.

The deceased is the wife of Senator Teslim Folarin who represents Oyo Central District at the National Assembly.

The deceased died in January this year in London.

Saga Gist reports that other dignitaries who attended the burial service held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Iyana Bodija, included Deputy Governor of the state, Engineer Rauf Olaniyan; Secretary to Oyo State Government, Mrs. Olubamiwo Adeosun; and Head of Service of Oyo, Mrs. Amidat Ololade Agboola.

Others are Senators Kola Balogun and Abdulfatai Buhari; Minister of Youth and Sports, Chief Sunday Dare; Musiliu Obanikoro, Chief Bayo Adelabu, Minister of Information, Chief Lai Muhammed; former deputy governor of Oyo State, Chief Moses Alake, High Chief Tajudeen Ajibola and Dokun Odebunmi.

The rest are; Shina Abiola Peller, Akeem Adeyemi, Tolu Akande-Sadipe, APC chairman in the state, Isaac Omodewu, Asimiyu Alarape, Adegoke Adegboyega, Lowo Obisesan and Yinka Taiwo.

The body of the deceased arrived at the church around past 10 in the morning, alongside the bereaved husband and family members.

Dean, North Deanery, Catholic Archdiocese of Ibadan, Very Reverend Felix Ethapeme in his sermon, said that the deceased lived a fulfilled life in total service to God and humanity.

Ethapeme noted that though she died at her prime, her deeds while alive would remain evergreen.

The cleric admonished the congregation to reflect on their lives and dedicate it to God, saying that everyone would die eventually.
