EPL: Kane sends message to Son over beating Salah to win Golden Boot

Tottenham Hotspur striker, Harry Kane has promised to help teammate, Son Heung-min beat Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah to win the Premier League’s Golden Boot this season.

Kane said this after leading Tottenham to beat Arsenal in a Premier League derby on Thursday night.

Two goals from Kane and a strike from Son gave Arsenal all three points against Mikel Arteta’s side.

Son’s goal against Arsenal means the South Korean international is now a goal behind Salah on the Premier League top goalscorer chart with two games remaining.

Son has scored 21 goals so far this season, while Salah has 22 goals.

“We will have to wait to see what happens,” Kane told Stadium Astro when asked if he would allow Son to take a penalty against Norwich on the final day of the season if Spurs were comfortably winning the game.

“Sonny has been fantastic for us, another goal tonight, we have got another important game on Sunday that I am sure he will be ready for.

“Hopefully, we can win him the Golden Boot, that will be nice, but of course, he knows and we know that the three points are the most important thing.”
