Sallah: Be civil, polite, shun corrupt practice – Police warn personnel

The Nigeria Police Force have warned personnel deployed to provide security during Eid-el Kabir celebrations to be civil, polite and shun any form of corrupt practice while discharging their legitimate duty.

This was contained in a statement signed by the spokesman of the Jigawa State Police Command DSP Lawan Shiisu Ahmad on Friday.

He said the command has deployed officers in all public places to ensure protection of lives and properties of the citizens.

“Men comprising conventional, mobile policemen, operatives from State Intelligence Bureau (SIB) and traffic wardens as well as necessary logistics at all eid-praying grounds, Durbar grounds, recreational centers, government properties, and other public places across the 27 local government areas in the state,”

He said the command will continue collaborating with other relevant security agencies and all critical stakeholders to ensure that the celebration is peaceful and hitch-free.

The command, however, advised worshippers to avoid carrying unnecessary objects that may trigger suspicion or apprehension.
