Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa State has approved the appointment of 12 new Permanent Secretaries and an Auditor-General.
This was contained in a statement signed by the State Head of the Civil Service, Alhaji Hussaini Ali Kila.
He said the appointments are to fill the existing vacancies in the State Civil Service.
The Head of Service said the appointees are successful Directors elevated to the position of Permanent Secretaries some of which have been in an acting capacity.
They include Isah Garba Dallah, Yusuf Mukaddas, Musa Ibrahim Adaha, Adamu Saleh, Engineer Garba Ya’u, Abba Mustapha Yola, Muhammad T Yunusa, Abdu Garba Dutse, Dr. Kabiru Ibrahim Aliyu.
Others are Aminu Adamu Ringim, Muhammad Iliya, and Ibrahim Tijjani.
The Governor has also approved the appointment of Shehu A. Kaila as the new Auditor-General, Local Government Audit.
The statement explained that the appointment of the new Permanent Secretaries is purely on merit, competency, personal integrity, and seniority.
The statement further said all the appointments take immediate effect.
