Friendly: Portugal boss, Santos expects difficult test against Super Eagles

Portugal manager, Fernando Santos, is looking forward to a difficult battle against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

The Selecao will test their might against the West Africans in a friendly tonight at the Estadio Jose Alvalade, Lisbon.

It’s the former European champions last friendly game before they face the Black Stars of Ghana in their opening game at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar next week.

Santos reckoned that the Super Eagles have fast players, who are also very talented.

“In relation to the African continent, like Ghana, there is this matrix too. Nigeria has something to do with Ghana,” Santos told reporters ahead of the game.

“They have very fast players, they exploit speed. They are very talented. I don’t know how Nigeria will be on the field, but they usually play in 4-4-2 and Ghana often in 4-3-3.”

The game will kick-off at 7.45 Nigeria time.
