Former House of Rep Speaker and new Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, has tendered his resignation as a lawmaker on the floor of the House of Representatives.
Tajudeen Abbas, the speaker of the house, read Gbajabiamila’s letter of resignation during plenary on Wednesday
Gbajabiamila said his resignation is to enable him to assume the role of chief of staff to President Bola Tinubu.
It was gathered that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC will conduct a fresh election to fill the role.
