The Ogun State Comptroller of Nigeria Immigration Service, Olufunmilayo Bosede has commended the Former President for supporting the agency and advocacy as remarkable peacebuilding work.
Bosede stated this on Monday when the Command visited Former President Olusegun Obasanjo at his Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library Penthouse residence, Abeokuta, Ogun State capital.
She also thanked Obasanjo for his fatherly role and for his elder stateman figure and therefore promised to stand to her toe and take the agency to the next level.
In the same vein, Obasanjo urged the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) to display the spirit of hostmanship so as to attract foreign investors into the country.
"Immigration should be friendly to both citizens and foreigners". These attitudes can influence policymakers, and settling into a supportive or rather more hostile environment makes a difference in immigrants’ adjustment and mental health.
"Immigration should ensure cordial relationships with other agencies in terms of collaboration", Obasanjo concluded.
