World Wrestling Entertainment, WWE, legend John Cena is among the latest superstars to pay tribute to Windham Rotunda, popularly known as Bray Wyatt, following his untimely death at the age of 36.
Wyatt’s death shocked the wrestling world to its very core.
WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H announced the death of Wyatt in a post via his Twitter account on Thursday night, with many of his fellow superstars posting emotional messages shortly afterward.
Among them were Cena, Chavo Guerrero, Zelina Vega, Alexa Bliss, Karrion Kross, Becky Lynch among others.
Reacting to Wyatt’s death, Cena tweeted: “”Devastated by the news of the passing of Windham Rotunda. My heart goes out to the entire Rotunda family. Windham brought the best out of me in so many ways. I’m forever grateful for the moments we shared. A sad day for all those he reached around the world. RIP.” tweeted John Cena.
Also reacting, Former WWE star Chavo Guerrero wrote on Instagram, “Just gutted! I remember meeting you when you were playing football at Visalia College, & having a discussion about if you were going to follow in the family’s footsteps. Then before we knew it, I was running stuff on the fly with you in The Royal Rumble. RIP brother. Family for ever!”
”Similarly, WWE superstar Zelina Vega, posted on Instagram handle, “RIP to one of the kindest, most captivating people that I’ve ever known. One of wrestling’s most brilliant minds. Always helpful, always sticking up for his friends.. I cannot believe the news today.
”I’ve known Windham since my first tryout at FCW..one of the people that believed in me and wanted me to live my dream since jump street. I’m so so sorry. My deepest condolences to his beautiful family, his lovely wife JoJo.. his awesome kids… this is such a loss for everyone.. his friends, family, fans.. the wrestling world.RIP WINDHAM.”
On his part, WWE Superstar Karrion Kross wrote on Twitter: “No matter what’s going on, Call up a friend today and tell ‘em you love them. You never know when that opportunity will be gone to do so.I’ll see you up there brother.”
