Your record disastrous – Ex-Bayern Munich player slams Tuchel

Former Bayern Munich player Didi Hamann has hit out at manager Thomas Tuchel after the Bavarians suffered a shock 3-0 defeat against RB Leipzig in the DFL Supercup on Saturday.

Dani Olmo scored a hat-trick in the match to ensure RB Leipzig defeated Tuchel’s side.

Since Tuchel took over at Bayern Munich in the middle of the 2022–2023 season, the German giants have suffered major losses, including being knocked out of the DFB Pokal and the UEFA Champions League.

Although Bayern won the Bundesliga title last season, the team suffers from a lack of consistency.

And after the loss to Leipzig in the Supercup, Hamann blasted Tuchel, saying (via the Daily Mail): “His [Tuchel’s] record since he’s been in [Bayern] Munich has been disastrous. You need guidance.

“Two weeks ago, he denied Kimmich the ability to play in the position he played in yesterday. Bayern didn’t show unity. Leipzig were hungrier.”

He added: “There can only be two reasons why it is not working. First, The team is divided within. Second, the team has a problem with the coach. The fact that Tuchel pilloried the team was definitely not well received there.”
