AIG urges equitable distribution of palliatives


The Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Jonathan Towuru has advised the Director General of the State Emergency Management Agency, SEMA, Angela Odey to ensure that the palliatives received from the federal government are equitably distributed.

Towuru spoke when he received the SEMA team in his office in Calabar on Tuesday.

In a statement signed by the zonal Police PRO, SP Nelson Ofem, the AIG assured SEMA of adequate security of lives and property in the Zone under his watch.

He called on the people of Cross River and Akwa Ibom States to give prompt information for effective Policing, through the Commands Control Rooms.

Speaking earlier, the DG informed the AIG that the Agency has put all measures in place for the effective distribution of palliatives meant to cushion the effects of the fuel subsidy removal.
