Troops arrest Boko Haram terrorists, recover motorcycles, mobile phones

The Nigerian Army said its troops of Sector 2 Operation HADIN KAI, working alongside Civilian Joint Task Force and Hybrid Forces, have dealt a significant blow to Boko Haram’s logistics capabilities.

In a statement on its social media platform, it said the troops acting on credible intelligence, intercepted six brand new motorcycles purchased in Kano, destined for terrorists’ enclaves in Tabkin Chadi and Timbuktu Triangle, in Kukareta village.

The troops arrested some of the suspected terrorists and recovered motorcycles and mobile phones.

Brigadier General Marcel Ejike, Commander of Sector 2 Operation HADIN KAI, praised the troops’ resilience and swift response.

He urged them to continue disrupting terrorists’ activities and dominating the area to deny the terrorists freedom of action.

General Ejike also appealed to the public for continued support and collaboration in the fight against insurgency.
