The Ogun State Command of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) on Saturday, held its historic first-ever staff retreat at the command's premises.
The retreat, themed "Leadership, Legacy, and Wellness," was a significant initiative aimed at enhancing the wellbeing, leadership, and legacy of the command's officers.
The retreat marked a new chapter in the command's approach to fostering a well-rounded and motivated workforce.
Comptroller Olufunke Yetunde Odusote, who assumed office with a vision to enhance the command's performance, emphasized the importance of the retreat in strengthening the leadership abilities of officers.

The retreat featured a variety of engaging activities, including aerobics, physical exercises, and games designed to encourage teamwork and fun. Officers participated in friendly competitions such as football, Ludo, WHOT, tug-of-war, table tennis, and dancing contests.
The retreat also featured enlightening lectures led by two retired senior officers: Assistant Comptroller of Immigration (ACI) Kuti and Deputy Comptroller of Immigration (DCI) Agbeleshe. Both facilitators shared invaluable insights on leadership, legacy building, and personal wellness.
The retreat witnessed the commissioning of the newly constructed Ogun State Command Care Centre, an initiative spearheaded by Comptroller Odusote. The centre aims to provide much-needed healthcare facilities for officers and was equipped with the support of various stakeholders.
Comptroller Odusote emphasized the importance of the Care Centre, saying it reflects the command's commitment to not only developing officers' professional capabilities but also ensuring their personal wellbeing.
