Former Liverpool defender, Jose Enrique, has urged the Reds to cash in on underperforming midfielder Curtis Jones in the near future.
Enrique said Jones has run out of time to prove himself at Anfield.
Jones has been a squad member for the Reds since making his senior debut back in January 2019.
The 22-year-old has helped Jurgen Klopp’s side win five trophies under current manager Jurgen Klopp.
Speaking ahead of Liverpool’s Premier League clash with Everton on Monday, Enrique shared his thoughts on the club’s current crop of youngsters.
He said: “I will not sell (Fabio) Carvalho. The only one I will sell from our youngsters (who all should be loaned out) of (Stefan) Bajcetic, Jones, (Harvey) Elliott, (Calvin) Ramsay and Ben Doak, it will be Jones.
For me, he has run out of time, and we can get a good fee for him.”
Jones’s contract with Liverpool will expire in June 2027.
