EPL: Arsenal players did ‘stupid things’ against West Ham – Odegaard

Arsenal captain, Martin Odegaard has hit out at his team-mates for doing “stupid” things during the 2-2 draw with West Ham on Sunday.

Gabriel Jesus and Odegaard scored for the Gunners as they went 2-0 up at the London Stadium.

However, Thomas Partey lost possession, which eventually resulted in Gabriel Magalhaes conceding a penalty in the first half. Benhrama scored to make it 2-1.

Bukayo Saka then missed a penalty early in the second half, moments after the Hammers levelled through Jarrod Bowen.

“We gave them a little bit of the game they wanted. We gave them hope when they were basically dead. It’s on us.

“We started to do a lot of stupid things with the ball and we let them play long balls, they got a lot of throw-ins and corners and we let them play on their qualities,” Odegaard said.
