Bayelsa United petition IMC over Lobi Stars, Rivers United’s alleged illegal deal with their players

Bayelsa United have kicked against the unauthorised use of their players by Rivers United and Lobi Stars at the ongoing Naija Super 8 pre-season tournament.

The club claimed Alex Oyowah, Osagie Onosodumeya, and Taiwo Adbulrafiu still have a running contract with them.

The Restoration Boys stated in a released statement that it is against rule nine and the framework of the Nigeria Premier League for Oyowah, Onisodumeya, and Abdulrafiu to be featured by Rivers United and Lobi Stars, respectively.

Bayelsa United, therefore, appealed to the Interim Management Committee (IMC) to sanction Rivers United and Lobi Stars for the breach of rules and inducement of their players.

The Yenagoa club want damage of N1 million to be awarded in their favour against Rivers United and Lobi Stars for exemplary damage to deter future occurrence in the league.
